This mural was made for a café in Tiong Bahru, one of Singapore’s favourite neighbourhoods. I drew inspiration from the local community, daily routines, and the area’s unique charm, including familiar spots, neighbourhood cats, and the quiet moments that bring people together. The artwork is a tribute to connection, a sense of place, and everyday life, capturing the character that makes this neighbourhood special.
Stepping away from my usual style, this mural marks the first of many. I typically work with sketchbooks and canvases, so this project was a significant milestone. This experience strengthened my confidence as a designer and inspired me to embrace experimentation as part of the creative journey.
Location: Tiong Bahru, Singapore
